Solid wood boards are made from locally sourced macrocarpa slabs that are machined and then sanded before finishing them with nut free cooking oil and bees wax for durability and water resistance. The combination of the bees wax and Macrocarpa’s own anti-bacterial properties make it an idea timber for food preparation surfaces and boards.

With so many varieties available it is fun to mix and match them into these beautiful laminated boards. New Zealand beech (tawhai) rimu, macrocarpa, pine, kauri, oak, walnut and kwila make up just some of the timbers I use in these eye-catching boards. Carefully machined before being glued with a food safe and water resistant glue; sanded and finished with nut free cooking oil and bees wax. These boards will out last and out shine other chopping boards.
